this little shaggy thing i bought from a rescue, her papers were never transfered or registered.i straightened it all out and payed out of my pocket to get her papers.people dont seem to understand what registration papers mean to these horses future.i hear so many times you cant ride their papers.think of this,if this horse gets crippled or hurt with a decent set of papers they can go to the breeding shed, without 99% of the time their destiny is the canner. dont get me wrong im not saying just because they got papers breed them, but with papers their chances of going to a forever home is stronger, they can inter a breed show and get points, unregistered you cant enter.you just give the horse a added edge over one who does not have them.this fillys papers as a yearling were never sent in,yeh a little costly but another thing people dont understand is these horses papers are on a time line, every few months the cost goes up till people are looking at a 5 year old going, well i got the papers but they wernt sent in so the cost to register is what?$1,000.so it never gets done, the horse comes up lame, wheres it heading???????
